i, my friend, am no fashionista

i realize a majority of my newer posts are all fashion/ootd related... so just to mix it up a bit... here goes sum other things... far from the fashion world :)

this guy is great! he's been great since maybe 3-4 years ago when i first heard him on a Kanye track... i know he's very close to mainstream now... but i still enjoy him on mixtapes... and mostly on his debut album Food & Liquor... i keep shuffling to this song on my Zune... and it just reminds me of how much i love him :)

oh yeah and me and my boyfriend just got done watching Law Abiding Citizen... and it was great! i loved it... i think gerard butler did a great job... and i really enjoyed the story line and the... umm... lets just say action lolz... good movie... i very much recommend it :)

so i'm gonna try my best to pepper in more NON fashion crap in here... too bad im about to do an ootd post right after this lolz... maybe

now to enjoy my chicken nuggets ;)

hoot hooooot

no OOTD because i got up early (extra early because of the hour that was stolen from me... and meaning bummy) and went to b-fast with my favorite cousins and nephew :) did some shopping at kohls and Forever21 in an attempt to walk off the fat ass Denny's b-fast... leaned up my belly and my wallet... just a little bit ;)

oh yeah... and played a few minutes of the new final fantasy! ::EXCITED::... but i'll get back to that...

first here go my purchases for the day...

simple Mudd tiger tank ($10) and beige top with studs/bling(which i was kind of "ugh" about but the super cute super wide sleeves and off the shoulder look sold me... oh and the price ^__^... i kno it looks really unappealing when laid flat like that... so i'll post pics of me actually wearing it soon!) ($6) both from Kohls.

couldnt help that last pic :) i have had quite an obsession with multiple finger rings lately. the gold one i bought today(or yesterday, whatever!) from Forever21 ($5sumthin) and the silver one is from Claires ($10 poo!) on a side note... i've always had this thing i go by when i wear rings... when placing them... i put them on so that they're in the appropriate position for ME to look at/read... and the other night someone tried to clue me in on how with these word rings you're supposed to wear them this way (like in the picture) so OTHERS can read it lolz... i said no... i wear it for ME :)... if ppl wanna read it... they can come stand next to me lolz so yeah don't expect to see me ever wearing these rings like this... this was only because i had a gangster photo op hahahah :P

last but not least for the day/night... Final Fantasy 13! i didn't play it much... but all i can say is that i'm sooo glad the gameplay is back to how it should be! that real time lazy bull shit in 12 was terrible! i mean 13 is also in real time... but its back to turn based... which is whats important... i have this inkling in my head that i might be getting it for my birthday lolz but i'm trying to keep myself from hyping myself up too much... even though i kno even if it ISN'T that... i'm still gonna be happy... because my boyfriend is the best gift giver EVER, period. <3

oh and for those who care... i've been working on my first ever epic KS level... furiously... like at least an hour a day lolz which is pretty intense for me... in respects to ANYTHING lolz so hopefully it'll turn out well...  i'll keep everyone updated.

have to share my new nail color... this cute molly ringwald from the Breakfast Club shade of pink :)... a bunch of the really nice Sally Hansen nail polishes were 75%off the other day... so i scooped up 3 of them (will show later) their stock was pretty dry but lucky for me the ones that were left were these little light floaty pinkish neutrals that i'm really into... especially for spring! so yeah i painted my nails earlier today... and i usually rush through the drying... forcing me to ruin them whilst in the shower or getting ready or whatever... this time i waited like 15-20 minutes... and i think it was worth the wait (or maybe its cuz these are better quality polishes and cost more than a dollar, unlike my usuals! lolz) because they turned out so spiffy and nice YAY

so i'm ready to sleep... or at least stop writing for now... don't forget daylight savings time everyone... stealing another hour from our lives :(

i'm going to hell!

first off i'm going to apologize because i forgot to take a pic of my OOTD... i kind of just ripped my clothes off because i've been really tired today (possibly getting sick? UGH)... but as a short recap... i wore my green trench that i just bought yesterday (sans new buttons :( ), my new cuffed jeans that my hunny bought me, white v-neck chest pocket tee (wal-mart), and my new sandals.. the ones with the studs from a few posts down... nothing too exciting... i just cant help but think about those unfashionable buttons every time i wear that coat... lolz maybe its just me?

anywho... so why, you might ask, am i going to hell? well while on the bus with my mom from dinner and some shopping at Trader Joe's... i sat next to this man (just looked like a regular sir) and a block before my stop i looked at him, pointed to the chord to signal a stop and said "excuse me, could you..." assuming that he knew what i was asking for... but he didn't... so i assumed he didn't speak english... which was fine... my mom pulled the chord for me... and i said "thanks mom" i guess in a slightly irate tone (i really can't remember)... then the man next to me says in THE nicest way "i know you we're talking to me, but i'm blind so i didn't know what you wanted me to do."

i felt like the rudest person in the world :(

fun filled day

allooooo everybody! hope everyone had a good day today... i know i did :)

i suppose i'll start off with my very first OOTD, yay! i wish i could've used a better, more unique outfit... but eh... i kind of lost gumption when i got out the shower lolz... it was the first above 70 degree day today in LB in quite some time (don't start about how Californians dont know anything about cold... i kno we don't lolz but if i'm freezing at 60 degrees... then u guys just gotta deal with it *muah*)... so i thought i'd celebrate with one of my new favorite dresses and some boho-ish accesories. i wanted to post a pic of my make-up but i didn't really take a lot of good pictures of my face... i did a really light sparkly eye (sort of in celebration of the Alice in Wonderland movie... but if i had watched the movie first... i woulda done a super dark smoky eye and red lips instead lolz... but i'll get to that soon) a nude glossy lip and some light blush, i'm not really into a lot of heavy make-up so u won't get too many make-up tips/pics/info outta me lolz sorry guys

100% cotton (super comfy) Derek Heart black and white print maxi, 2 finger Love ring, pave peace sign earrings (i have no idea where my mom got me these from lolz), sky blue leather braided charm bracelet, hand made gold and clear glass ring (one of my favorite buys from a random market stand ever!) btw i wore regular black flip flops :)

so me and my cousin went to go see Alice in Wonderland in 3D today... very nice... and very not what i expected... i really only have two things to say 1. it was very very dark but what do u expect from tim burton and 2. i really enjoyed how every scene in the movie wasn't "hey look at us we're doing a THREE DEE MOVIE!" u kno when every scene has to have sumthing flying at u or sticking out or whatever just so they can drill it into ur heads that its 3D... the 3D was very sparse but well done... WHEN done... which is what i really liked... i wish i had had my contacts tho :( i had to wear those dumb glasses over my own glasses! no bueno :(

well after the movie we scarfed down a deliciously early dinner and decided to walk things off with some window shopping at the local plus size boutique and Nordstrom's Rack. Sad to say no real finds at the plus size store (the search for a birthday dress continues!)... a little better luck at the Rack... found this great yellow wide sleeve cable knit sweater that fit me so wonderfully and was uber cute! but was like 60 bucks (and that's discounted lolz) i couldn't bear to take that pain to my wallet (plus i was broke LMAO) so i passed... me and my cousin also tried on these plus size Betsey Johnson negligee trapeze contraptions lolz which suffice it to say did not turn out so great... i mean they looked really cute and open to many possibilities... whilst on the hanger... but it was not to be... i just love how most of her intimates (not the underwear obviously), with a bit of solid lining underneath, make great dresses! i do still like looking at the negligee i just can't get over how unflattering it looked on :(

anywho so we moved on to the shoe section...

and that my friends... is when i fell in love ^____^ 

with these super duper sexy and intense MIA Troy wedges! ughhhhh! <- me ejaculating :P lolz i always love the way my feet look in great shoes but these were just so sexy! and the fact that i felt comfortable in them were just another great plus (check them out here to view them in detail, sorry my pics are in crappy camera phone quality... wow they're actually cheaper there on the Tilly's website than in the store lolz) sad to say i didn't buy them... I know many of u fashionistas out there are probably shaking your heads at me for passing up on such a bargain on something i adore... well the truth is that with the way my life is currently... i wouldn't have very much opportunity to wear them :( i still want them badly tho... so who knows maybe i'll get that pair at Tilly's :) but for now i can just reminisce on how glorious i felt in these ::siiiigh::

so after prying my feet out of those beautiful things me and my cousin went to the tried and true Wal Mart lolz... where i came across a super random find... this really nice kelly green trench coat for........ $11.00! i totally had to scoop that up... i mean it was absolutely no replacement for my babies :'( but i felt good getting something that i was gonna be putting to gud use this rainy spring... the fit is totally great, worth way more than that 11 dollars... my only personal gripe with it is the buttons... i dunno how to explain it... they give it a kind of dated, soccer mom kind of feel... what do u guys think??? they're like regular green buttons with this silver metalic trim on them... i'm really considering changing all the buttons with something different... maybe wood... or faux tortoise... i dunno... i feel like the dark buttons would make it a little edgier... less middle aged mom lolz i dunno... i'd really love some opinions! please :)

i'm at home, super bored today... and even though its freezing like polar bear nuts in the LB... i'm ina very Spring mood! so i thought i'd share one of my favorite timeless trends for spring/summer... EYELETS... whether they're soft and traditional or metallic shoe type eyelets, i love 'em!

(1) vivid floral print cami with eyelet detail in the bust area from Alloy (up to 3XL!)

(2) ruffled tank top with eyelet details from Torrid (also comes in a couple other colors)

(3) this dress was what got me in the mood today lolz eyelet and denim tube dress from Faith 21

(4) i looove this enamel stud and eyelet bag from Asos

(5) Marc Jacobs sling back with eyelet detail in the chunky heel, found at Zappos

(6) v- neck baby doll T back tank with eyelet detail from Alloy (up to 3XL! and also comes in coral with white detail)

(7) floral halter top from Alight (it's hard to see but the white part is actually an eyelet fabric, check out the sight for a close up view)

(8) woven eyelet cover up from Target (this is actually a maternity shirt lolz but i think its still very cute especially with the 60's mod inspired circle print and cut... and i'm sure when its worn no one can tell ;) also available in orange)

(9) organic cotton eyelet tank and cami set from Wal Mart (i love shopping at wal mart! lolz i know a lot of ppl have a problem with their business practices.. but i dont give a fuck :) so i had to include something from them... plus its a steal at 8 bucks for 3 different looks! comes in a few other colors also)

(10) eyelet crepe woven tunic from Faith 21 (u can't really tell in the image but this has a great eyelet detail on the top of the sleeves and all the way across the top of the back. super cute! and its a twist to see an eyelet fabric in crepe)

(11) i am completely in love with this simple white eyelet sundress from Cherrypievintage on Etsy! (i've always been particular to girly girl shapes and cuts and this just epitomizes that sweet demure female vibe... check out the link to see a close up of the fabric. i could totally see myself getting married in this with some really edgy accessories =D. it's a made to order garment so you'd have to discuss price with Cherrypievintage but she gladly does plus sizes and other colors.)

(12) vintage 70's prairie skirt from TheRubyKitten on Etsy (i saw this and just really liked it but i failed to realize it is a girls skirt lolz... cute concept anyway with the prairie plaid and eyelet tier details i will make sure to update if i ever find a plus size teen/woman's version ;) )

(13) iris and lace eyelet dress from jessjamesjake on Etsy (she says its from Bruce Wayne and in a vintage size 14 but is ideal for sizes 12-20... i love the print of the fabric and the tiny eyelet details everywhere and i'm sure it would look great with a really contrasting masculine statement belt, it's also in a really worldwide flattering cut that will do wonders on every woman ;) she also has a great plus size store with a lot of funky pieces check it out!)

(14) now this has to be one of the cutest things i've found... a vintage Free Bird 70's eyelet top in the most awesome and vibrant sky blue color from LAVintage (they also have a lot of great vintage plus size pieces on this site as well, make sure to do some exploring!)
